TEACHING

My teaching experience spans a variety of educational settings and age groups, reflecting a deep commitment to learning and a strong belief in the value of the arts. From serving as a substitute teacher and interventionist in elementary schools to teaching introductory design courses during my teaching assistantship, I have consistently created positive and productive learning environments. I’ve supported classroom instruction and student engagement at the kindergarten level, provided targeted reading interventions in a Spanish immersion setting, and worked closely with teachers to meet individual learning needs. My ability to adapt quickly to different grade levels and classroom dynamics has allowed me to contribute meaningfully across diverse educational contexts.

In addition to my work in schools, I have brought creativity and energy to my role as a community center instructor, where I planned and taught engaging classes for children and teens ages 3–16. From slime making to henna body art and preschool creative arts, I’ve used hands-on activities to make learning both fun and impactful. I ensured each session was well-organized, age-appropriate, and safe, while also promoting programs through community outreach. These experiences reflect not only my dedication to education but also my strong support for the arts as a vital part of a well-rounded curriculum.
